MARIAH RECORDING NEW ALBUM!
Mariah tweeted a pic of Herself with Jermaine Dupri in the studio, taken Friday night 9 April. She and Jermaine both tweeted that they’re recording together for a NEW MC ALBUM!

Mariah tweeted: “To all the Lambs in the land..Finally!!!Me& Jermash are in his studio reliving the splendor working on new ish”
Jermaine Dupri: “to all the lambs out there me and mc are in studio right now working on the new album yall been askin for it”
Mariah: “This song is coming out quite nice I must say: ) LYM”
Jermaine: “I GOT SO MANY REQUEST ON TWITTER FOR THIS FROM ALL THE LAMBS AROUND THE WORLD, WE KNOW WE BELONG TOGETHER LOL!! THE SONG OF THE DECADE CREW IS BACK!!!!!!!!!! LEGGGOOOOO”

Jermaine also posted two videos of him and MC in the studio, which you can find at www.mariahdaily.com.

So far there is no other confirmed information available regarding Mariah’s next album, though Her official site did describe the album as “forthcoming”, which hopefully means we won’t have to wait TOO long. Our money’s on hearing new music before the end of the year!

ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER AWARD…
Mariah was honoured with the James Brown Cultural Excellence Award at the “Keeper of the Dream” Awards held by the National Action Network in New York on Thursday 15 April. The award honours people of colour who have made outstanding contributions to the arts.

“Janet Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Whitney Houston – they were definitely the people who motivated me to do this, who I idolised and looked up to and said, ‘I want to be like them, I want to do that one day, I want to back videos, make music and have CDs.’ That started the dream and it just went from there, and became a reality. I have met some of them and it’s really, really strange. I still look at Mariah Carey and I’m a fan, I remember Vision of Love when I was repeating every night every move in that video.”

MARIAH’S “ANNIVERSARY” ON 27 MARCH
Mariah celebrated the anniversary of Her 12th birthday on 27 March, and fans celebrated along with Her all over the world. These Japanese fans made their own version of Her latest video, Up Out My Face, and Mariah Herself tweeted about how much She loved their version. A reminder to all MC fans: keep inviting any of your South African friends who are or used to be fans, to the FB group. We need to get the numbers up high, in case She announces a tour. If/ when She announces a tour, we can approach local promoters and show them there is an audience eager to see Miss Mariah perform in SA! So we need to keep growing our numbers! Invite, invite, invite!!

CONFIRMED: MEMOIRS… DELAYED TO 29 SEPTEMBER
Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and all of her TV and promo appearances have been shifted to coincide with the new release date of September 29th.
